1941 - Invasion of Greece by german forces

Following the defeat of the Italian Forces, Germany had no alternative but to invade Greece with its own troops. On 6 April 1941, the Germans entered the country from the Greek-Bulgarian borders and thanks to the superiority of their air force managed to move south. Following successive air strikes, almost 120 Greek vessels, including the entire passenger fleet and five hospital ships were hit and sunk.
