1941 - Burning of greek ship’s ownership documents

On 5 May 1941, puppet Prime Minister Georgios Tsolakoglou handed a letter to the Union of Greek Shipowners, requesting all its members to convey to their ships orders, according to which they would be placed at the disposal of German forces. However, a few days before the occupation of Athens, the shipowners’ legal advisor, Georgios Daniolos ordered the burning of all documents.
