1946 - Liberty-type ships

The Liberty-type ships were built in the United States to serve the needs, of the Allies during World War IΙ. After the end of the War, the US government decided to sell ships to third countries to facilitate the reconstruction of their merchant marine; 98 Liberty ships were sold to Greeks.
