Georgios Constanti Lemos, also known as Papalemos (1812-1892), a great Oinoussian personality. Beyond his shipping activities, he was ordained as a Deacon in Tinos island, where he went as a refugee. After his repatriation he became a priest in Oinoussai island until his demise. He was also deeply involved in preserving the remains of the late Metropolitan of Chios Platon Frangiadis, who was hanged by the Turks during the Chios massacre in 1822. (N. S. Lemos archive).
